Editorial Guidelines
The point of Codesseu is simple: help you pay less without wasting time on codes that fail. The standards below apply to every listing on the site.
Sources we accept
- Retailer websites: promotions shown in banners, sign-up offers, and shipping or policy pages on the store's official site.
- Affiliate networks: codes that brands share with their partners through networks like Impact, CJ and Awin.
- Brands that contact us: offers sent in by a retailer, which we confirm before they appear.
Codes taken from other coupon sites are off limits, and we will not fabricate a code just to fill an empty page.
Testing at checkout
Before a code is listed, we put a real item in the cart on the store's website and apply the code. The offer description then states the date of that test and what happened, for example the price before and after or the percentage removed. When a store shows prices in a different currency for our region, we say so.
Information on each listing
- What the discount is and any conditions, like a minimum spend or products that are excluded.
- The end date, if the retailer publishes one.
- A Verified label, used only when we found the offer at its source.
Keeping the list current
Expired offers drop out of the main list and into an "Expired" section. If we hear that a code has stopped working, we test it again and then mark it unverified or remove it.
Independence
Affiliate commissions may come our way when you shop through our links, but they never decide what gets listed or how it is described. Our Affiliate Disclosure has the full picture.
Corrections
If a code fails or a detail looks off, send a note to [email protected] and we will look into it.
